Bio

With over two decades of experience in the industry as an actress and voice artist, Abby's career began in her teens. Her screen presence and playful comedic streak landed her roles in David Stubbs and Thomas Robbins' romantic-whodunnit Girl vs Boy. Later, Stubbs would cast in his romantic period drama feature Daffodils. Other screen credits include New Zealand’s leading drama series Shortland Street, Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement's feature film What We Do in the Shadows and the soon to be released series for Apple TV+ Time Bandits.

Abby also voiced the 15cm, PVC plastic rollercoaster Jinny, in Korean animated cartoon, Nori the Rollercoaster Boy. Over the last few years, Abby has increased her range, with nuanced voice performances leading her to early character development work with Denis Villeneuve and Martin Kwok on Dune: Part Two.

Abby won Best Actress for her performance alongside Tom Sainsbury in The Jogger which was part of the The Watercooler series and played a bilingual, exaggerated version of herself in Tamati Kawha and Brandon Te Moananui's The Māori Sidesteps. In 2021, she was cast in Joseph Gordon-Levitt's comedy, Mr Corman and most recently as the fragile, isolated Olive in Katie Jackson's film debut, the post-apocalyptic horror Attachment Theory.
