Bio
Amelia Reynolds is an actor and writer based in Auckland. Her most recent screen credits include Sweet Tooth, The Wilds, Triangle, and NZ feature film Mothers of the Revolution.
Recent stage credits include Red Leap Theatre's Dakota of the White Flats, Auckland Theatre Company's The Life of Galileo and The Miracle Worker, Burn Her, and the Pop Up Globe’s productions of Macbeth and The Comedy of Errors. As a theatre-maker she is the co-creator of three original works: STOMACH, The Memory Shelf, and Cult Show: The Revitalization of the New Zealand Women’s Archives. STOMACH was part of Basement Theatre’s school program. The Memory Shelf won the Tour Ready Award and Best Script at the Auckland Fringe Festival. Cult Show, directed by Nisha Madhan, was the product of two rounds of CNZ funding – for development and production. As an essayist, she has written for The Spinoff, Ensemble, and Express.
Amelia is a graduate of Victoria University, with a BA in Theatre and History, a postgraduate diploma in Journalism from AUT, and is currently studying Health Promotion and Public Health at Manukau Institute of Technology.
