Bio
Amy Usherwood is a 2007 NIDA acting graduate. She has appeared on stage and screen in both Australia and Aotearoa. Her theatre credits include Shannon in Thieves Like Us for Merrigong Theatre Company, Emilia in Othello, Banquo in Macbeth and Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream for Sport for Jove Theatre Company, Lori in The River at the End of the Road for Hothouse Theatre and Nurse in Romeo & Juliet for Pop-up Globe.
Screen highlights include Emma Franklin on Shortland Street, Louise Hillary in Hillary, and Helpdesk in feature film Eternity, for which she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the 2013 New Zealand Film Awards. Most recently, Amy played Frankie in BBC series Mystic and Vita in South Pacific Pictures The Brokenwood Mysteries.
