Bio
Ariāna Osborne (Ngāti Mutunga and Te Āti Haunui-a-Pāpārangi) is a New Zealand actor who is gaining international attention for her role in the Māori gothic feature Mārama since it premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
Most recently, she played Tui in the critically acclaimed Netflix series Madam alongside Rachel Griffiths and Martin Henderson. Her other screen credits include the tele-feature In a Flash (dir. Ric Pellizzeri), the long-running prime time drama series Shortland Street, and feature films Seen (dir. Logan Marshall) and Millie Lies Low (dir. Michelle Saville).
Alongside her screen work, Ariāna has performed extensively in theatre, collaborating with acclaimed companies such as Red Leap Theatre (Dakota and the White Flats, Dust Pilgrim) and Te Pou Theatre (The Cradle Song, Temperance).
Ariāna is conversationally fluent in Te Reo Māori and has advanced proficiency in Japanese, bringing these skills effectively to her performances. Since graduating from Toi Whakaari: New Zealand in 2017, Osborne has remained in the public eye, earning widespread acclaim from critics and media alike for her work.
