Bio
Ayush Aditya is a West Auckland-raised actor and writer. He is a recent graduate of Toi Whakaari and studied at the University of Auckland. While at university, he trained under Auckland Theatre Company and appeared in two of their productions: The Adults Are Talking and Manatees.
During his second year at Drama school, Ayush made his live performance debut in Dawn Raids by Pacific Underground. In 2025, he appeared on screen in the NZIFF feature film Workmates directed by Curtis Vowell and most recently appeared in the 2026 short Yes David, directed by Ghazaleh Gol.
In 2025, Ayush co-created Mic Drop, a hip-hop musical, which was awarded the Playmarket Theatremakers Award and shortlisted for the Playmarket B425 Playwright’s award. Alongside his own projects, he has collaborated with peers across theatre and film, expanding his practice and strengthening his commitment to creating bold, innovative work for stage and screen.
