Bio
Bryony Skillington is a renowned and impressive actor, writer, director, and singer born and raised in Manchester, England. In 2001 she moved to New Zealand with her family, and in 2005 she was accepted into New Zealand's leading drama school, Toi Whakaari, graduating in 2007 with a Bachelor of Performing Arts degree, majoring in Acting.
Her most recent international and local screen credits include a core-cast role as Penny Willson in Binge Australia's Strife alongside Asher Keddie, Time Bandits by Jermaine Clement and starring Taika Waititi, and Far North written and directed by David White.
Additionally, her other notable roles in well-received international productions, include feature films such as The Rehearsal, directed by Alison Maclean, and Netflix's The Power of the Dog, directed by Dame Jane Campion, who won Best Director at the 2021 Oscars. She also appeared in X, directed by Ti West alongside Mia Goth and Martin Henderson.
Bryony is also a well-respected stage actor working for many of New Zealand’s leading theatre companies in productions including Billy Elliot for Auckland Theatre Company (ATC) and Into the Woods for the Fortune Theatre.
Bryony is a strong singer, and has advanced skills in a range of different singing styles, notably Cabaret and Musical.
