Bio
A Toi Whakaari graduate as well as holding a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Politics and Philosophy, Dan is an intelligent, circumspect actor demonstrating remarkable understatement and restraint. His first screen role in 2003 was as Techno on The Tribe. He then starred opposite Keisha Castle-Hughes in Disney’s production Legend of the Seeker. Going very much against his gracious off-screen persona, Dan played a string of ‘bad guys’: the deceitful Rupert in Go Girls, notorious drug trafficker Marty Johnstone in Underbelly, and Lefty Munroe in successive seasons of Westside.
His film credits include Tracker, Safe House and Three Mile Limit, and Morrisey in the TV film Safe House, directed by the inimitable John Laing, and Jonathan in the romantic comedy, Written In The Stars alongside Kimberley Crossman.
Dan lives in Auckland with his wife, esteemed actor, Antonia Prebble, and their two sons.
