Bio

Finnius Teppett is a writer/director based in Auckland. He has an MA in Creative Writing (Scriptwriting) from Victoria University's IIML, and is an award-winning playwright.  His play 'My Dad’s Boy' was workshopped at New York’s Against the Grain Festival, and opened Fortune Theatre’s 2017 season. 

Finnius is a creator, writer, and director of RNZ webseries 'The Citizen’s Handbook', and his NZFC-funded short film 'Democracy' premiered at NZIFF 2020. In 2023 he was selected for the Great Southern Television Tāhuna Residency in Queenstown. In 2021 his feature screenplay 'I.O.U.' was selected for the inaugural Black List NZ Project.
