Bio

After graduating from the New Zealand Film School in 2007, Hayden spent a wild three years on The Hobbit as Martin Freeman's body double and stand-in, getting a front-row seat to big budget filmmaking, then worked in a cinema while he shot his first independent feature film on the weekends with friends.

Chronesthesia (2016) gave Hayden the opportunity to travel as a creative person and meet more creative people, which led to collaborating with Tom Sainsbury on DEAD (2020) and later Loop Track (2023).

Hayden strives to make emotionally engaging stories with a pure voice. He enjoys collaborating and believes the more ambitious projects are in scope, the more lasting and golden the memory for all involved, including the audience.
