Bio
Ishtar attended NQADA (The National Queensland Academy of Dramatic Arts) after moving to Australia at the age of four. She performed in yearly productions at the CPAC and landed her first on-screen role at the age of seven in the locally shot feature Fools Gold, starring Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson. She continued acting throughout high school, spending her summers at NIDA (The National Institute of Dramatic Arts) young adult workshops.
Ishtar can currently be seen globally on Disney+ in Arkasha Stevenson’s THE FIRST OMEN as Sister Anjelica, and on Netflix UK in Joe Cornish’s LOCKWOOD & CO as Annabel Ward. She will be seen this October in the newest DC film, CLAYFACE, alongside Tom Rhys Harries, and has just starred in an exciting CURZON project.
She is currently in pre-production to reprise her leading and award-winning role of Isla in BLACK SAMPHIRE the feature. BLACK SAMPHIRE is an ecological horror told through the lens of a toxic queer relationship. It is the debut feature by Cat White, in collaboration with River Action, with Stephen Fry as an executive producer.
Ishtar Currie-Wilson is a New Zealand actress based in London on a PACT-endorsed Global Talent Visa.
