Bio
Jacque Drew is a highly accomplished American actor based in New Zealand. She is adept at shifting between dramatic and comedic roles, voice over work, and theatre. She was a founding member of the Tygres Heart Shakespeare Company (Portland OR), where she received accolades for her performances, including an educational touring show based on Shakespeare’s greatest works.
Recently on screen she played Detective Wheeler in seasons one and two of Peacock Original Series One of Us is Lying, Jeannie in Jane Campion’s Oscar winning film The Power of the Dog, and Ruth Lamott in Netflix’s hit The Royal Treatment.
Other credits include international and New Zealand productions Choose Love,The Wilds S1, Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s Mr. Corman, Ash vs. Evil Dead, Shortland Street, and The Brokenwood Mysteries.
As well as her extensive acting work, Jacque is the go-to dialect coach for on-set American productions that film in NZ. She teaches US accent at Auckland’s professional actor training programmes: The Actor’s Programme, South Seas School of Screen Arts, and Unitec. She is also the co-director of AYA (All Your Acting) Youth Drama School since 2009.
