Bio
Jamie Irvine made his professional television debut in 1998 in New Zealand TV drama Shortland Street. Then based in Wellington, he appeared in various TV and theatre productions, and later went on to train at NIDA, where he graduated in 2005. Since that time, Jamie has built an outstanding career as an actor, having worked in Australia, Los Angeles and New Zealand.
Jamie's most recent credits include playing vice principal Peter Wadsworth in hit NZ feature film Tinā, which has broken box office records. He also plays the outrageously dimwitted westie Johnny Oades in The Brokenwood Mysteries, a recurring role that Jamie first played in 2018.
Some of his other credits are Sweet Tooth, M3gan 2.0, Mystic, Power Rangers: Dino Fury, Black Hands, Shortland Street, Duckrockers, Underbelly NZ, N00b, Literally Dead, Westside, and the Australian feature film Crushed which found success on the festival circuit.
Theatre highlights include Petrucio in Taming of the Shrew and Stanley in Richard III for the Pop up Globe, and in 2016, he appeared in The Australian Theatre Company's critically acclaimed production of Speaking in Tongues by Andrew Bovell in Los Angeles.
