Bio
Graduating with a Diploma for Acting Screen Performance & Skills in 2013 at South Seas Film & Television School, Jay worked on numerous short films, including Georgia Agnew’s Hunting Aliens (lead), Cameron Pitney’s Another Mouth to Feed, and starred in and directed his own short film, Wings. Embarking on a trip to Sydney for a short stay, Jay landed a guest role on Neighbours and the role of Lance Bombardier Willie Walker in the well-received Australian feature film Danger Close directed by Kiv Stenders which filmed in Queensland’s far north.
On returning to New Zealand Jay became a core cast member from 2019 to 2021 on New Zealand’s prime time fast turn-around drama series, Shortland Street playing the much-loved Character of Prince Kimiora and at time along side his real-life wife, actor Becky McEwan, the couple were quick to point out that their real-life communication is far less dramatic!
