Jen Van Epps is drawn to stories—hearing them, telling them, and living them. As an actor of Black and Chinese descent with a career that spans continents, Jen brings a unique perspective to her work—one rooted in depth, empathy, and lived experience.

She recently broke through to global audiences in M3GAN, playing Tess, the grounded and quietly fierce engineer who became a fan favorite in the hit Blumhouse/Atomic Monster/Universal horror film. A breakout box office success, M3GAN earned over $180 million worldwide on a $12 million budget and kicked off a major franchise praised for its smart blend of camp, suspense, and cultural commentary. Jen returns as Tess in the upcoming sequel M3GAN 2.0, out June 27, and continues to be part of one of the most talked-about horror sagas in recent memory.

Her range, though, goes far beyond genre. She stars opposite Lisa Kudrow in Taika Waititi’s new Apple TV+ series Time Bandits, and brought emotional weight to her role in Amazon’s Don’t Make Me Go with John Cho.
