Bio
Jonathan James is a young actor based in Auckland. In 2016, Jonathan graduated from Whitirea Performing Arts Centre with a Diploma in Musical Theatre. In the same year, he played the lead role of Ben Smart in the made for TV film, Doubt: The Scott Watson Case. Jonathan’s other screen credits include the role of Connor Stuart for South Pacific Pictures’ Shortland Street (2018) and Wilde Ride where he played Caleb Saunders (2018).
Jonathan has a passion for acting on stage, particularly within musical theatre. In 2018 alone he has played Sky in Mamma Mia!, Danny Zuko in Grease: The Arena Spectacular and Jasperino in The Changeling (directed by Michael Hurst).
