Bio

Lyndee-Jane Rutherford has been an actor since graduating from NZ Drama School/Toi Whakaari in 1993. She has starred in numerous television series and was most recently seen in Wellington Paranormal. She has appeared in memorable television commercials for KitKat and McDonalds and has over 80 theatre acting and directing credits for her theatre work which has taken her around NZ, Australia and USA. She was nominated for actress of the year at the Chapman Tripp Theatre Awards in 2003 and won Best New Director in 2006.

She teaches drama to seniors with Voice Arts in Wellington and enjoys seeing what theatre and performance can do for cognitive development for those in their third age.

Lyndee-Jane recently took three years away from the creative industries to work in the emergency services sector at Wellington Free Ambulance. She is now the Partnerships Manager at BATS Theatre in Wellington and is available for acting work.

In July 2023 Lyndee-Jane directed the four week sell out season of Prima Facie at Wellington’s Circa Theatre.
