Bio
Maria Walker is a graduate of Toi Whakaari, New Zealand's oldest drama school. She made her feature debut in James Cameron's, Avatar. Walker has since played roles in Mt Zion, Toa Fraser's The Dead Lands, Top of the Lake, and a lead in Rage, a kiwi drama.
Maria was named "Best Actress" at the 2015 Wairoa Film Festival, for her role as rugby captain Mel in the short film Tits on a Bull. More recent work includes a supporting lead in Mahana, directed by Lee Tamahori, and acting opposite Rebecca Gibney in Wanted (2017).
Maria played Kate in the TV series, Find Me a Maori Bride (2017) and can be seen as a lawyer in the TV movie, In Dark Places (2018).
