Bio
Mikey Falesiu started his acting journey in 2013. He graduated with a Diploma in Performing Arts from PIPA, Pacific Institute of Performing Arts and was quickly signed up by an agent who spotted his talent on stage at the Mangere Arts Centre in the production of Hearts of Men. The show, directed by Vela Manusaute, showcased his multiple talents on stage including: impeccable comic timing, dance, singing, and guitar playing; skills he has continued to hone and be in high demand for, today. Michael then played the lead role of Sione in the Musical Production of Sione’s Wedding for Auckland Theatre Company, and Sione in Dawn Raids, written by Oscar Kightley.
His screen credits include Maka, in the Fresh Shorts NZFC funded Film Lea Tupu'anga/Mother’s Tongue alongside international acclaimed actor & writer of the film, Luciane Buchanan, and Samisoni in Piki Films Red, White and Brass, executive produced by Taika Waititi.
Mikey is also an accomplished Presenter, Host & MC for live productions including Brain Busters for Whitebait Media, ASB Polyfest (Tongan Stage) for Fresh TV, and MC for Gen X Unleashed & Omega Family Day touring Australia & New Zealand.
When not acting Mikey is a learning assistant at Ormiston Junior High, helping and supporting students with specific learning needs.
He is a proud father and husband with three beautiful kids living in Auckland.
