Mo Nasir is a Pakistani New Zealand actor with experience across television, film, theatre, and commercial work, establishing himself as a dynamic and highly skilled performer within the screen and performing arts industry. Known for his range, adaptability, and strong on-screen presence, Mo brings both technical craft and authenticity to every role he undertakes.

He is currently recognised for his ongoing role as Dr. Nazar, a core cast member on New Zealand’s long-running prime time drama Shortland Street (2023–2026), further solidifying his profile as a prominent emerging talent in the local screen industry. His screen credits also include The Pact, alongside film work in In A Flash for Screentime NZ and Treasure Hunters.

Alongside his screen work, Mo has built an impressive theatre career, performing in acclaimed productions including Basmati Bitch with Auckland Theatre Company, The Best Cafe In The World, Light VS Dark, The Tempest, Richard III, A Doll’s House, and Spring Awakening. His strong theatrical foundation has allowed him to develop exceptional range, character depth, and versatility across both dramatic and comedic performance.

Mo has further expanded his screen portfolio through numerous short films and commercial campaigns. While continuously refining his craft through advanced professional training with some of New Zealand’s leading acting coaches and institutions. He holds a Bachelor of Performing and Screen Arts (Acting Major) from Unitec and has completed specialist training in screen acting, accent work, intimacy guidelines, voice, movement, and international performance techniques.

A highly adaptable performer, Mo brings advanced capabilities across a wide range of accents including New Zealand, American, British, Indian, Pakistani, and Punjabi, alongside multilingual proficiency.

With an impressive breadth of experience spanning major television productions, feature films, theatre, commercial campaigns, and formal training, Mo continues to establish himself as a compelling and sought-after talent with strong crossover appeal across both local and international productions.

When he’s not acting, Mo is a passionate advocate for fitness, community, and charitable work. He enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, discovering great food, and making the most of social occasions.
