Bio
After obtaining an Honours degree in Music from Victoria University, Wellington, Paul made his professional debut as an actor in 1980 at Circa Theatre.
In his 44-year career he has appeared in over one hundred plays, from English, Russian, and American classics, to contemporary New Zealand plays by Sir Roger Hall. He has appeared in numerous television shows and several films. He has sung roles in the Musical Theatre, performed as Musical Director/ keyboard player on many more, and has recorded hundreds of commercial voice-overs for television and radio, as well as corporate videos and documentaries. Paul also records audio books for the blind.
Paul recently played Nostradamus in the Court Theatre, Christchurch’s sell- out summer season of the musical comedy Something Rotten. Due to unprecedented demand, the show will be returning for a further season this July. Beginning in March 2022, Paul has played the role of Stanley Thompson in Shortland Street.
