Robert was born and raised in West Yorkshire, England where he studied drama at high school and college. In 2008 Robert moved to Wellington, New Zealand and in 2010, he graduated from Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School with a Bachelor of Performing Arts. He has since been working on stage and screen in New Zealand. He has a great passion for acting, loves the thrill of a live audience and the technical demands of a film set.
