Bio
Taylor Barrett is a New Zealand actor who discovered his passion for acting at a young age. He was born in Invercargill, Southland and attended Southland Boys High School (2004-2010) where he initially planned to pursue rugby. However, he changed his course when he was invited to Toi Whakaari - NZ Drama School at 18 years old. He graduated with a Bachelor of Performing Arts in 2014.
Theatre highlights include being selected to take part in the 2010 New Zealand Young Shakespeare Company that performed Macbeth at the Globe Theatre in London, England; starring in Punk Rock by Simon Stephens at the Fortune Theatre in Dunedin; and playing a lead role in Dean Parkers Polo with Auckland Theatre Company.
Screen highlights include appearing in American hit TV Shows Ash Vs Evil Dead & Power Rangers as well as popular local series Dear Murderer, Filthy Rich and Shortland Street. He also landed a role of Francis in the 2022 Netflix hit comedy romance feature film The Royal Treatment.
