Bio
Tim Earl is a New Zealand actor whose craft was honed at New Zealand’s leading drama school, Toi Whakaari, where they earned a Bachelor of Performing Arts (Acting). Since graduating, Tim has built a vibrant career across screen and stage.
Their television credits include a recurring role on New Zealand’s iconic drama series Shortland Street (South Pacific Pictures), a featured appearance in the internationally acclaimed US series Ash vs Evil Dead (Renaissance Pictures), and the feature film Why Does Love? produced by Great Southern Television.
Tim’s stage work is equally distinguished, having collaborated with many of New Zealand’s most celebrated theatre companies. Their performances span Circa Theatre (WLG), The Court Theatre (CHC), Auckland Theatre Company (ATC), and Silo Theatre (AKL), where they’ve earned a reputation for versatility and emotional depth. In 2016, Tim was awarded Best Newcomer at the Auckland Theatre Awards for their performance in ATC’s production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.
Alongside their work in the performing arts, Tim holds a strong interest in healthcare. They are a registered phlebotomist and are currently completing a Master’s in Health Psychology at the University of Auckland, with the aim of becoming a registered clinical health psychologist. Their passion for health and wellbeing continues to inform and enrich their creative practice.
