Bio
Viivi Crossland is an Estonian-Kiwi actress with a drive for storytelling. She has appeared in Shortland Street, Home Sweet Home, Asian 8, and I Got You, steadily building a career that spans both screen and stage. Viivi trained at both Unitec and The Actors’ Program, she constantly seeks to refine her skills, even flying to Australia to train under renowned acting coach Les Chantry.
Viivi’s love for performance started long before acting took centre stage. As a child, she was a rising country music star, singing alongside legends like Tami Neilson and Kaylee Bell, performing at the Coca-Cola Awards, and representing young country artists in New Zealand by the age of 11. She even took her talents to Australia’s Tamworth Festival before expanding her vocal training into choral and gospel music—performing at the New Zealander of the Year Awards at just 13.
Beyond the arts, Viivi is a no shoes kind of girl. Raised on a farm in Raglan, she grew up between horse riding, surfing, and playing competitive football. She also has intermediate-level dance training, further adding to her versatility. Her Estonian heritage, combined with holding three different passports, makes her a globally adaptable performer—equally at home on set in New Zealand, or beyond.
