Bio
Zac Bell is an up-and-coming talent from New Zealand, carving out a distinct path in the creative arts. With a deep-rooted passion for performance, Zac began his journey at just 10 years old, debuting in the Sydney-shot television series Winter and later securing a role in the International Emmy Award-nominated series Wanted.
Following in the footsteps of his acclaimed mother, Rebecca Gibney, Zac has seamlessly blended into the world of acting. In High School he really began focusing on his craft with Andrew McKenzie and Jo Harford, as well as through participation in improvisation competitions. He is a graduate of Toi Whakaari, Aotearoa New Zealand’s premier drama school, where he honed his craft through intensive study in multiple disciplines.
Zac's dedication to his craft is evident in his impressive body of work. His portrayal of Benvolio earned him an Outstanding Individual Performance award at the SGCNZ National Shakespeare Competition, and his short film Dearest Mother received 2nd Place nationwide in the NZ On Screen Short Film Competition, along with accolades for Best Cinematography.
His recent credits include starring in the Warner Bros. International series Escaping Utopia and sharing the screen with his mother in the third season of Under the Vine. Zac's achievements were highlighted by his inspiring speech at the 2024 Logie Awards, further cementing his rising star status. Outside of his artistic pursuits, Zac enjoys exploring nature and traveling the world, finding inspiration and adventure in every corner of life.
