Jane Campion's 'The Power of the Dog' wins Best Picture at the Golden Globes

The gothic Western released on Netlix in November 2021, was filmed in New Zealand and directed by acclaimed director, Jane Campion. 

The Power of the Dog follows a domineering but charasmatic rancher who wages a war of intimidation on his brother's new wife and her teen son. 

Thomasin McKenzie, Alice May Connolly, Jacque Drew, Bryony Skillington, Eli Kent, Ella Hope-Higginson and Yvette Reid were all cast in the film along with Alistair Sewell who recieved his first screen credit in the role of Jock. 

The film also won awards for Best Director and Best Supporting Actor for Kodi Smit-McPhee's performance.
