Jodie Hillock plays Karen Lampton in TVNZ's The Bad Seed. The disturbed wife of a well-regarded obstetrician who reside in an elegant house in Remuera, their world is rocked when a murder takes place across the street. Her husband soon becomes a prime suspect.

As the story unfolds the audience learns the connection between the Lamptons and the Hallwrights, the husband of which is on the campaign trail to be the next Prime Minister of New Zealand. Mr. Lampton has also been hiding at least one affair. 

Based on a series of books by award-winning New Zealand author, Charlotte Grimshaw, The Bad Seed is a psychological thriller, breaking new ground in New Zealand's crime drama genre. The five-part series as a coming-of-age is hoping to attract interest internationally. With noir theme and dark imagery, this intriguing show also feature's GCM actors Phil Peleton, Scott Wills and Ilona Rodgers.
