GCM is proud to announce the recent casting of actors Richard Te Are, Matt Whelan, Gary Young & Byron Coll in a new mini-series The Luminaries, set in the midst of New Zealand's 1860's gold rush. 

Richard Te Are, will be playing the role of Tui. Richard made his New Zealand screen debut in 2018, for his role as Teina Pora in TVNZ's In Dark Places and will be appearing in the 2019 feature film Danger Close. He also has a role in the upcoming TV series, The Dead Lands.

In 2018, Matt Whelan appeared in Wanted season three, he also plays a DEA agent in the latest season of Netflix's Narcos. 

Known for his role as Mr Willoughby in Outlander, this year alone Gary Young played China Tom in Tidelands and has also been cast in the 2020 live action remake of Disney's Mulan and the new TV series The Gulf.

Byron Coll is known for his recurring role on the series Top of the Lake, in which he played the character Penguin. In 2018 he starred in Silo Theatre's post-electric play, Mr Burns.
