The Brokenwood Mysteries Returns For Sixth Season
The award-winning drama series will air Sunday nights on Prime
'The Brokenwood Mysteries' has returned to our screens for it's sixth season as it continues to grow in popularity both nationally and internationally. This season will see the return of Nic Sampson as Detective Breen as well as GCM's Matt Whelan, Lily Powell, Anna Baird, Dan Weekes, James Kupa, Phil Peleton and John Callen.
The crime-drama, set in the deadly small town of Brokenwood currently airs in 17 countries and has gained a massive following in countries like France, Australia and the UK, where it is described as New Zealand's answer to the long-running classic, 'Midsommar Murders'.
Brokenwood has also been received well by critics, winning multiple awards including 'Best Drama Series' at the Huawei NZ TV Awards and a 'Bronze World Medal' at the New York Festival's International TV Awards.
The global popularity of the show proves the world is craving more unique perspectives like our quirky, Kiwi twist on the classic whodunnit genre.
