Bio

Callum moved to Aotearoa New Zealand from the UK in 2021, and is the Artistic Director and Producer of production companies 'Figment' and 'B&B Productions.' Currently he is producing a 30 show tour of 'Waiting for Waiting for Godot' directed by Michael Hurst.

Over his career he has been involved in the creation of 14 productions, working alongside practitioners from the Royal Shakespeare Company, The Globe, the Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company, LBP, The Young Vic and Adam Spiegel Productions, amongst others.

In the UK he was a founding member, Producer and Associate Director of award winning, sustainable Shakespearean touring theatre company 'The HandleBards'. This company has toured over 13 countries, winning critical acclaim along the way: 4 men on 4 bikes cycle their entire tour carrying all their props, set and costume, whilst performing all the roles of 2 different Shakespeare shows between them.

He trained in physical theatre at Circomedia, Bristol and learnt producing as the Assistant to the Artistic Director of the Old Vic Tunnels, London. There, he gained invaluable experience working alongside numerous production companies, including Olivier-award-winner Marisa Carnesky and Olivier-nominated company Les Enfants Terribles.
Passionate about producing theatre for social good, he has worked alongside BAFTA-nominated Sarah Brocklehurst as associate producer on political theatre extravaganza ‘Theatre Uncut’ (Young Vic London); theatre promoting sustainability with The HandleBards; and theatre tackling the preconceptions of homelessness in ‘Down and Out: Live’ directed by Hannah Price.

He is also a writer, with some of his work coming to New Zealand in 2024 (project currently embargoed).
