Bio
Amy Cotter trained at the prestigious Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London and graduated in 2020. She has worked extensively as an actor and spoken word poet in theatres across the UK and in numerous short films, before moving to NZ last year. Amy was the recipient of the Sir Alec Guinness award 2020, awarded to one graduating actor from the UK each year.
Amy’s recent short film ‘Fish Out of Water’ (2022) which she wrote and stars in, has received multiple award nominations and official film festival selections across the UK and had its NZ premiere in June 2023. With a versatility and skill for both stage and screen and strong US accents, Amy is excited to take on new challenges in New Zealand, Australia, UK and the US.
