Bio
Angela Bloomfield is an Actor & Director who became a household name in New Zealand playing Rachel McKenna in the acclaimed TV series Shortland Street, a role she performed for close to 25 years. Angela is also well known for her work on feature films Bonjour Timothy and the Peter Jackson directed The Frighteners starring alongside Michael J Fox. Other screen highlights include the US series Power Rangers, New Zealand reality shows Celebrity Treasure Island & Dancing With The Stars.
In 2017 Angela won Best Actress for the short film Linda’s List, a film she co-wrote and co-directed with Kate McDermott. More recently, the short film Joey’s Heart, directed by Louise Lever sees her playing the lead role of Joey described as a ‘Gay Fucking Bridget Jones’ garnering festival interest worldwide.
