Bio
Dea Doglione, a talented young actor of New Zealand & Italian descent started her creative journey in 2014 when she was accepted to study at the National Academy of Singing & Dramatic Arts (NASDA) graduating in 2016 with a Bachelor of Performing Arts Degree. After gathering some life experience back in Italy and feeling driven to further expand her acting abilities, Dea auditioned and was accepted into Auckland’s leading drama school: The Actors Program (TAP) where she graduated with a Diploma for Acting in 2021. The Actors Program is screen focussed and provided her with invaluable opportunities to refine her screen acting techniques and explore a wide range of characters and styles.
After graduating from TAP, Dea was cast as Emma in the well received Irish & New Zealand Mystery Series The Gone directed by Peter Burger & Hannah Quinn, followed by a large supporting role in Dark City – The Cleaner directed by Rick Jacobson alongside Cohen Holloway and Chelsie Preston Crayford. The series was particularly special to Dea as it meant she could return to her hometown of Christchurch to film the role of the practical & kind Sally Galletly.
Dea is passionate about her culture, renowned for buying Italian wine for her friends and making them pasta “a mano” — from scratch.
