Bio
Mike Daley is originally from Boston, Massachusetts. He fell in love with performing at a young age, when he discovered that he was terrible at sports. He pursued the arts at Milton Academy before going on to graduate with a BA in Acting and Directing from Emerson College in Boston. Mike spent a few years in Los Angeles where he met his future wife, before the two eventually moved to New Zealand in 2015.
Since then, Mike has worked extensively in film and television production while frequently appearing on stage, including his award winning performances as Col Nathan Jessep in A Few Good Men (NAPTA - Best Supporting Actor) and Gary/Roger in Noises Off (ACTT - Best Lead Actor), both at Papakura Theatre Company.
His screen credits include My Life is Murder, starring Lucy Lawless, and the lead role in Reed Simonsen's short film, Reunion.
Other stage productions include Dinner With Friends at Howick Little Theatre and Time Stands Still, Nell Gwynn, and Death Of A Dream at The Dolphin Theatre, where he currently serves as President. Most recently he directed a production of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Proof by David Auburn at The Dolphin, awarded Best Design by Auckland Fringe 2024.
