Bio
SCOTT WILLS first gained prominence in New Zealand for his roles in the award-winning feature films Stickmen for which he won Best Actor at the Nokia NZ Film Awards running against Karl Urban & Temuera Morrison and Apron Strings winning Best Actor at the Qantas Film and Television Awards running against Sam Neil & Joel Edgerton. Other film highlights include 20th Century Fox Perfect Creature alongside Dougray Scott & Saffron Burrows; Walt Disney Studios The Light Between Oceans alongside Michael Fassbender, Alicia Vikander & Rachel Weisz, and the fast-paced Comedy feature Lowdown Dirty Criminals for Avalon Studios.
Scott has also graced our screens on many New Zealand made Local & International series including South Pacific Pictures Interrogation; The Bad Seed & The Gulf; Screentime Pictures Underbelly & Dear Murderer; BBC UK series The Luminaries & Mystic; US series Legend of the Seeker for MTV; Netflix series Power Rangers: Dino Thunder & Cowboy Bebop. 2023 will see Scott appear in the core cast as Sgt Bruce Harris in the NZ/Ireland co-production Crime Thriller, The Gone alongside Richard Flood (Greys Anatomy), Michelle Fairley (Game of Thrones) and Liam Carney (Gangs of New York). Produced by Tim White, Southern Lights Pictures (NZ) and Keeper Pictures (Ireland) directed by Peter Burger (NZ) and Hannah Quinn (Ire), Vikings - Valhalla.
Scott is also an accomplished theatre actor and has worked for many of New Zealand’s leading companies including Auckland Theatre Companies productions of Red Speedo; To Kill A Mockingbird & The Shape of Things, Silo Theatres Danny & the Deep Blue & Beautiful Losers where he played the infamous Neal Cassady to critical acclaim, he’s also completed national tours of Trainspotting by Irvine Welsh & Howie the Rookie by Mark O’Rowe and Circa Theatre’s Mojo by Jez Butterworth for which he was awarded the Best Male Newcomer Award upon graduating Toi Whakaari New Zealand National Drama School.
