Danger Close to hit NZ cinemas this September

Danger Close: The Battle of Long Tan is set for New Zealand release September 5th 2019.

Based on true events, GCM actors Jay Kiriona and Richard Te Are portray soldiers during the Vietnam War in the Battle of Long Tan on 18 August 1966.  108 young and mostly inexperienced Australian and New Zealand soldiers fought for their lives against 2500 North Vietnamese and Viet Cong soldiers.

Danger Close was shot in Australia in 2018 and stars Travis Fimmel, Richard Roxburgh and Stephen Peacocke.

Jay Kiriona plays Bombardier, Willie Walker with 161 Battery, RNZA, Royal New Zealand Artillery. 

Richard Te Are portrays Gunner Murray Watene, a gunner with 161 Battery, (RNZA) firing in support of Delta Company 6RAR 5km’s away in the Long Tan rubber plantation.
